This is the day the Lord has made!!!!

This is it. It has finally arrived officially TONIGHT! The opening to season 4 of LOST! Here we go! Can't wait to see where this takes us. If you caught the final episode of SEASON 3 last night it was pretty cool, with the whole walk through of clues and facts. Can't wait!

If you are a die hard LOST fan like Jeff, Sabrina, Amber, and I, this is by far the best site out there for clues and such. I follow this every week. They watch LOST frame by frame to discover things most don't catch. Anyways I know its sick and wrong but this is my addiction. HA!

Thank you!

Thank you to all who have been praying for our family! In the midst of the most tragic thing a family could go through, God's presence was evident. Prayers were answered for peace and God's presence. That doesn't we mean we don't grieve or that we are just happy about everything, but God's peace was the foundation of everything. So again thanks to all who have been praying for us. Please continue to pray as the weeks and years are to come can be the hardest.

Element Church Afterthought 1-27-08

We had a blast today at Element Church. I love worshipping with you all. And man was God worshipped today. We had a ton of fun at the end of service. I am so blessed to have some great musicians here at Element Church. Bryant, one of our drummers, put together this trash can blue man group thing to end the service along with "the noise we make". You must watch the video it was fantastic. Jeff did a fantastic job closing the Deal or No Deal series. He casted a lot of vision for the church and where we are headed. And the closing phrase was "we were not made to be silent but to make some noise" in reference to our impact in our commmunity, and so we ended with this song. It was a blast and if you were in element today I bet you left excited. God has been so faithful to us here at element church and we anticipate so much what is ahead.

We will start our Satan's Sex-Ed series next week, where we will expose what Satan is teaching, our kids, our singles, and our married couples. I am looking forward to this series, it will be in your face but again the goal is freedom and looking more like Christ.

Please continue to pray for my family, I talked with my mom today and its been so tough down there. There is some laughter today and everyone is starting to talk a little, however, it comes in waves, and when the grief comes its very intense and difficult. My prayer through this all has been for God to protect everyones heart. Its in times like these where our faith is tested and we have to trust. It is ok to grieve and to be angry and frustrated but my prayer is that we don't let that replace our trust in God. Please pray that everyones heart, God protects. As a testimony my mom and dad said that God's presence has been all over that house and there is such a peace that truely they don't understand, they said "it's weird, how they can be grieving and then laugh". Thats just God answering our prayers. Praise Him! My cousin was a believer and gave with his life for everyone else. He moved into an apt. with a kid with MS just to take care of him, what 23 year old does that. He daily worked with my autistic cousin Blake, and always was looking at how to take care of people. Ryan truely was a neat guy. And he just gets to be with God first, NO FAIR. Seriously isn't that the best thing ever, that after we are done here we get to go be with our God. Oh I can't wait. My prayer now more than ever is God make everyday count while on earth. Sorry so long just wanted to update you all. Ryan we will miss you!

Set design pics of last 2 series!

Sorry this is way overdue for those that don't attend Element and have wondered what we have done recently for set design.

Believe Series:

We ordered some star makers which lit up the whole screen with stars. This is definently a blury pic but thought it turned out cool.

Just a normal view of the set. We built a manger to look like the series graphic

We built our second 8ft lite brite that spelled "BELIEVE" and also spelled "KING" and we would switch between them with a light board.

Deal or No Deal series:

A guy in our church that does metal work, (the same guy that built our podium), built the star frames and then we wrapped fabric around them.

We also have 4 12 ft pieces coming off the side of the stage. I will try and find some pics of that this week. We went all out with fabric this series. We could still do so much more and can't wait.

We have also revolutionized our ekidz rooms with really cool themes and characters, decorations and etc. I will post pics of those tommorow.

I posted my sunday afterthoughts below if interested.

sunday afterthoughts

BLOWN AWAY! As I sit and write this I am reflecting on the day and all I can say is that I am blown away. For a detailed review on the day with peoples comments and such check out Jeff's blog here.

I am not one to blame the devil for everything that goes wrong. But today there was a buzz about some things we were announcing and the message that was coming forth and a great worship set and I don't thing that the enemy was very excited about it. Jeff and I really felt like we were under attack. We had several things happen that really could throw off our service. We were 30 minutes late in setup due to the theater employee not showing up on time to let us in. Then our speakers just shut off 3 times for no reason (never happened before) and then my amp went completely out for first service throwing off the feel of worship. And yet our God is greater and he was worship and people were touched and God INVADED that place.

RECORD NUMBERS! 282 in service today. WOW! God is on the move and he is rocking this place because there is such an expectancy for Him to move.

We gave away an entire offering today to our church as an example that none of this is ours. God just lets us manage it. People were blown away that we would do this. The only stipulation is that they can't use it on their self and could not place it in the offering. We set up a website called www.elementgivesback.com where people can go on and tell their story of what they did with the money. Amazing stuff.

We also did a 90 day challenge, where we challenged the people to tithe 10% for 90 days and if they didn't feel that it worked then we would give them 100% of their money back. We had like 57 people sign up. I am telling you God is using this series in a way I never thought was going to happen. People are responding like crazy to this series and straigtining out their priorities in the area of finances.
In fact one person gave their life to Christ today. AMAZING... That is what it is about.

WORSHIP WOW! and I don't just say that cause I am the leader. I told my team on thursday night rehearsal that I am so proud of them. They have huge hearts and serve with such passion and man can they play and sing. I had 2 of my team members lead songs today which is so good that I can do that. I feel blessed to have talented annointed leaders on my team. We did a song that I wrote with a friend of mine in an old band I used to play in, only we change the whole feel of the song and wrote a new bridge. I thought that it turned out great.

Looking very forward to the weeks to come and year, MAN DO WE HAVE SOME HUGE STUFF PLANNED THIS YEAR. Elementers get ready cause its go time, and God is on the move.

Don't forget to visit www.elementgivesback.com and post your story about what you did with the money.

I love being your worship pastor. I hope all of you find huge blessing in giving back to your city this month.

Set List for Sunday Jan. 13th:
Love the Lord- Lincoln Brewster
Beautiful One- Tim Hughes
Yearn- Adam Cruz & Dusty Taylor
Center- Charlie Hall
Turn your eyes/Beautiful - New Spring Church

Sunday AfterThoughts!

I have been a bad blogger this week. I need to be better about sharing thoughts and such through the week.

Sunday was really good. We kicked off our new series called Deal or No Deal dealing with our Finances the way God views them. Satan hates the topics we are talking about over the next 2 months and so we need continued prayer.

Great job worship team! You rocked. God was worshipped in this place.

We had 227 in church sunday. New faces come each week and that is what we pray for.

We are getting to double the amount of life groups we currently have in the church. Its crazy what is going on. God is stirring peoples hearts and we are plugging them in and its great to see all these new life groups starting.

We are doing some really powerful things this week during service. Make sure not to miss it. You will want to be a part.

God has so many divine appointments lined up for us its just crazy. I met with a potential guitar player today for lunch and there was no where to sit so we decided to go across the parking lot to Olive Garden but that was a half an hour wait so we headed back over the Chipotle and decided to find a spot. We just so happened to si next to a family who just got to town 2 days ago and was looking for a church. So they asked about us and are very excited because we were exactly what they were looking for. So they are coming this sunday. God is so good!

Set List for Sunday Jan. 6th:

I will never stop- Michael Gungor
You never let go- Matt Redman
Mighty to Save- Hillsong United
Before the throne of God above- Shane and Shane
Rescue- Jared Anderson
